About Somon Air
Somon Air is the first private airline of Tajikistan. The airline started
flight services in February 2008 to Istanbul Dubai and a number of international
destinations. The airline plans to increase geographic coverage rapidly.
Initially routes include Moscow, Urumchi, Dubai, Istanbul and Almaty.
It is the vision of Somon Air to become the preferred airline for citizens of
Tajikistan and international travelers in the region due to our safe, reliable
and affordable air transportation services. Our fleet will be expanded rapidly,
but continually under international maintenance control. Initially international
wet lease partners will maintain maintenance of their aircraft, but our own
maintenance organization will be expanded to facilitate the operations.
The management of Somon AIr consists of local experts and international
consultants, who are supporting the start-up process, applying international
best practice to the standard operation procedures. Fully planned implementation
of such procedures include Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance Management
Organization Exposition (CAMMOE), which reflects that the maintenance
organization is to be built to a European EASA standard.
