Where is Dubai

Dubai is one of the worlds most modern city located at the great Arabian Gulf in the country of United Arab Emirates or UAE it is close to Oman and also close to iran by sea. Dubai is a mega city where every structure has been well planned and constructed. Dubai was merely a fishermen village only about 20 - 30 years ago but due to the dynamic leadership and wisdom of its rulers it has become one of the greatest cities of the world.

The state of Dubai where Dubai lies has an area of 3885 square kilometers. Dubai is also constructing several artificial groups of islands causing further expansions in its area. Three groups of islands that go under the name-The Palm- cover areas of 80 square kilometers, 7 million square meters and around 14 million square meters. The fourth group of islands-The World- covers an area of 9 kilometers in length and 6 kilometers in width.

Dubai although a new tourist destination, has become one of the most popular city and vested by thousands of tourist daily. Dubai in reality is a desert city built with superb infrastructure, liberal policies, and excellent tourist amenities. Dubai is only 5 hrs by air from Europe and 3 hrs from most parts of the Middle East, the Near East, and the Indian sub-continent of India & Pakistan, Dubai is a great short break destination for shopping, partying, sunbathing, fine dining, sporting events, and enjoing the never ending sun and sands. It is a city of superlatives: for the fastest, biggest, tallest, largest and highest, Dubai is the destination reaching exterems of every thing.

Weather

Dubai is situated on a coastal strip bordered by desert hence gets very hot. However in the recent years due to heavy plantation and supply of desalanised water from the sea its weather is changing. The summer is from May to September when it is rather hot but between November to April it is very pleasant and comfortable. What ever weather be Dubai has ample supply of Electricity for Air-conditioners every building is Air-conditioned and so are cars.
